The phone is being created from scratch and is said to avoid the shortcomings of Windows Mobile. It will be released on five different smart phones in the United States. Zune technology will power the media player and will give them a chance to access different kinds of media that is synced with the user's home computer. I found this to be interesting because it seems that everyone in now coming up with their own mobile phone. Like I mentioned in my last wiki update, Facebook is trying to design a mobile phone. It will soon get to a point in which every major company will try to come up with their own mobile device and outdo each other. This may be a good or bad but only time will tell. For now, let's see if Windows Phone 7 can live up to the hype.
After several complains from people to the FCC about their cellphone bills being to high, the Federal Communications Commission is proposing a rule that will require stem wireless companies to warn their users through text message or voice before they run out of minutes, exceeded data usage, or when they accumulate high roaming charges.

This video is a time capsule of the rapid speed in which the mobile phone has progressed. In the short period that the mobile phone has existed it has been reinvented to be able to be utilized more efficiently and with more features in each progress. This video not only portrays the mobile phones evolution, but it also gives light to its future abilities. As innovators continue to produce more features which consumers can complete their daily tasks through their phones, one can only imagine what the future has in store. As a society, we are slowly migrating from using our lap tops to utilizing our phones to accomplish what we need. Everything from the manner in which we acquire our information, distribute our information or anything else we must do will soon be able to be done so through a mobile device.

What if we could sign our signature for a credit card transaction with the swip of our index fingertip? According to The New York Times online article, credit card transactions done through an iPhone could be in the near future. With Square, you can purchase a device to clip on the top of your iPhone or iPad, authorizing you to scan and charge credit cards. Interestingly, the chief executive of the company is Jack Dorsay, co-founder of Twitter. Although, it seems Square has a lot to fix with the system, it would be be interesting if this is what we will be seeing, doing, and purchasing in the near future.
